Cling-Fling!

Strange contrasts we are made of,
On a human – animal continuum.
Why one, when we can learn from many?

Clinging to emotions and traditions,
On a masculine – feminine continuum.
Why one, when we can learn from many?

Married to job, spouse, culture,
That tested fixes – letting go of issues.
Why one, when we can learn from many?

Clinging on to traditions from history,
That weakened – strengthened us before.
Why one, when we can learn from many?

Hanging onto hand-me-down religion,
On a belief – disbelief continuum.
Why one, when we can learn from many?

Diverse hobbies and passions we have,
On a creative original – taught copied continuum.
Why one, when we can learn from many?

P.S. At the end of this poem, I am left with a question, so please help me understand loyalty.
I love change but am averse to changing in family elements as a spouse. There are many of us don’t mind changing a spouse, but will never consider other changes, as in loyalty of culture or religion?

Cling

Many amazing people like you and cultures out there! I want to reach out and be friends with 'differences;' the hidden treasure yet unseen- for that is what makes them unique and extraordinary!
